Coach's Wisdom for Sales Pros

Coach’s Wisdom for Sellers, Sales Leaders, and Sales Teams

Right about this time of year, my husband gets a bit giddy and you’ll hear him humming, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.”

No, he’s not an early Christmas shopper . . . his glee is boiling over because it’s FOOTBALL SEASON again!

Between now and pretty much the Super Bowl, there are multiple games on most every weekday.

Oh boy. Wall to wall football – I’ll see him in March, I guess.

On the other hand, the heart-warming life stories and documentaries around personal triumph, determination, grit – they’re inspiring to watch before and during games.

I heard a great quote this past week by University of Alabama Football coach, Nick Saban and thought about how much wisdom and motivating advice coaches give to their players.

So, today’s blog is brought to you by great coaches out there who know how to inspire leaders, motivate players, and bring teams together.

Coach’s Wisdom: Motivational Quotes for Sellers, Sales Leaders, Sales Teams, and Driven Business Organizations –

“You practice it until you can’t get it WRONG. Not until you get it right. Practice until you can’t get it WRONG. So when you get in the game, it’s just natural, and normal, and confident.” – Nick Saban

“Let me tell you what winning means … you’re willing to go longer, work harder, give more than anyone else.”  Vince Lombardi

“Never quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world. Set a goal and don’t quit until you attain it. When you do attain it, set another goal, and don’t quit until you reach it. Never quit.” Bear Bryant

“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.” John Wooden

“Practice doesn’t make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.” Vince Lombardi

“The champion makes his own luck.” – Earl Blaik

“Setting a goal is not the main thing.  It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan.” -Tom Landry

“Mediocre people don’t like high achievers, and high achievers don’t like mediocre people.” – Nick Saban

“Success is not forever and failure isn’t fatal.” – Don Shula

“If you want to win, do the ordinary things better than anyone else does them day in and day out.” – Chuck Noll

“Nobody who ever gave his best regretted it.” – George S. Halas

I’m going to take these wise words about practice, failure, and winning into the new week. We’re heading into the 4th quarter, after all – make it count!

Until next time, stop hoping, start selling!

PS – Pray for me during these next months of football – especially since our home team is and always has been The Detroit Lions. Sundays can be grumpy at our house!
