Many many many stories have been written on the phenomenal, if not fanatical corporate culture CEO Tony Hsieh has created at Zappos, but here’s a new one on me:

They offer a 4 week immersion to new hires but after a week or so, they give newbies “The Offer”—which is a bribe of $1,000 TO QUIT.
That’s right, jump ship right as it’s leaving the dock.
This is an older article from the always awesome Harvard Business Review but what a wild and novel way to set the bar for employees. A fair test to measure their engagement and level of commitment to being an integral part of your company and building your Selling Organization.
“It’s a small practice with big implications: Companies don’t engage emotionally with their customers—people do. If you want to create a memorable company, you have to fill your company with memorable people.”

Until next time . . . keep kickin’ butt!
