What’s your title? Are you the owner, the manager, the producer, the seller, the buyer, the coordinator?
No matter if you’re the CEO or the CSR {Customer Service Representative}, a Solopreneur or Sales Rep at a Fortune 500 company, you are undoubtedly experiencing the rapid shift running through businesses like wildfire today that is called DISRUPTION.
What is disruption? Marketers aim for it, sellers clamor for it . . . but why? And why is it changing everything in business?
Disruption is Revolutionary versus Evolutionary.
In the context of radical change, disruption is due to the introduction of a new idea driving a different way of doing things as opposed to an evolutionary change. It’s the “Over Throw Status Quo” method of change that demands agile response.
The dynamic difference between Evolution and Revolution: in terms of business, Evolution is a function of change due to economic/survival necessity where as Revolution is driven by constituents’ demand for change and a New Reality – New ideas, new economy, new technology, new leadership, new drivers . . .
It’s survival of the fittest: Adapt, Evolve . . . or Be Replaced.
So here’s our question for the day, Are you embracing the Revolution of Disruption in your business or are you Delivering your product or Service on Dinosaurs, waiting for evolution to get around to you?
Businesses that adapt and evolve quickly to adopt the tools, language and systems of Disruptive technologies and methodologies are out performing, out growing and over coming slower competitors.
It’s not an option. It’s Inevitable.
This is not just the reality of the Chief Marketing Officer or the Chief Information Officer of big companies. Revolution and Disruption are actually secret weapons helping Mom and Pop businesses and Start Up enterprises scale and compete against the goliaths in their industries.
How do you start? What is the best investment of my time and resources? Where do you go for help?
There’s so much information. Why am I hyperventilating?
How do you eat an Elephant Dinosaur?
One bite at a time . . . but do it quickly.
It’s over whelming to try to tackle all the NEW at one time. You can’t embrace and adopt every NEW disruption that comes along, but pick the best seeds of revolution, water them and they’ll take root and grow quickly to produce a bounty of benefit (Sales, profits, customer loyalty, customer ADVOCATES).
